Waiting on the Sidelines
In February of 2010, I decided I was going to become a blogging sensation and I secured my 1st domain: FaithSage.com (catchy, don’t you think?)
But, I soon realized I had no clue how to become this mega-star blogging sensation. Or even how to blog for that matter.
So I started following a few people, read some articles and created a few paltry posts… and sat back and waited for the moolah to just flow from the Heavens.
and waited… and waited… and waited some more for the floodgates of Heaven to open their coffers and start pouring funds into my bank account.
When that didn’t happen (on the timeline I put myself on) I became frustrated, and upset.
I was dumbfounded as to why nothing was happening. Why I wasn’t the next JK Rowling, or Nora Roberts, or even remotely making a buck.
ALL the gurus I was following made it sound sooooo simple. Sooooo easy.
By March of 2010 life happened, as it’s prone to do, and since I wasn’t making headway with my blogging career, my attention and focus drifted away.
I was still purchasing products, reading books and watching YouTube videos but I didn’t believe in myself or my company(ies) enough to “go for it” full time so I took on side work waiting for one of my (many) businesses to magically “take off”. (Yes I was collecting domain names like some women collect shoes.)
Again I waited and waited and waited some more…

That was the day our world, as we knew it, came crashing down.
Our world had suddenly shattered into a million pieces.
That was the day I realized how fragile life really is.
And it was the day (ok maybe a few months after the accident when my world stopped spinning and my eyes were finally dry!) I decided to go for it.
To chase my dreams and finally finish building the business I started way back in 2010.
And now, armed with over seven years of making every possible wrong business decision and the memory of our daughter, I’m out building my business and helping you build yours by launching a monthly newsletter that covers issues every small business owner faces…
