In Nashville for a bachelorette party and since the condo we rented decided to shut down the pool the exact weekend we were there, we found a *21 and up* pool to hang out at for a few hours to relax a little.
Now mind you there’s ten of us in our group so we’re traveling in packs and this day was no different.
The first group (and best because I was in it) got to the pool just after they opened so we were able to secure a sweet little pool all to ourselves.
These pools were appx. twelve feet by twelve feet and four feet deep (and there were only 2!)… perfect for relaxing and drinking as we were waiting for the rest of our group.
But, of course, the rest of the group wanted to play tourist for a bit beforehand and apparently we weren’t the only ones to know about this little hidden gem sooooo… yep you guessed it… people started flocking to the pool to grab their own slice of watery heaven.
So one of the women, in our group, sat facing the incoming flux of pool seekers and put on her *best* RBF (resting bitch face, and yes guys can have one too!) so no one would decide to join us.
It worked perfectly!
No one joined us that wasn’t invited into the pool.
This translates to your business as well.
Sometimes we want to ratchet up the RBF and some days we don’t even know we’re wearing it…
Either way, if your RBF is on to strong or you’re not *inviting* people into your biz then…
THEY WON’T JOIN YOU!
You’ll either scare them away or they just won’t know you exist.
Both are a problem.
So pull back the on RBF a little… a little more, okay perfect, now roll out the welcome wagon and start accepting people into your business.
Let them know you exist. Let them know you care. Let them know you.
Because dammit, you’re uh-maze-zing!
